Brewpub Sign
New-historic vertical sign doing all the work outside the historic San Juan building in Alamosa, Colorado.
After producing The Depot sign and getting settled in to my new Sign Shop, I was approached by the owners of the San Luis Valley Brewing Co. They liked what I did for their beer branding and they wanted a period correct sign for their historic building.

Looking at old photo from the era you can see many hanging signs and that was exactly what the owners wanted. With the local Sign regulations, it couldn’t protrude too far out from the building. Our decision was to do a vertical sign and to keep the message simple.
The sign was built to the maximum allowed size by city regulations. It is constructed by welded steel with an internal framework. It slides onto the building mounting brackets mounted to the building making for easier installation.
The “neon” is actually Tetra - LED inserted into custom bent tubing. Entire case is hand-painted and hand-lettered.
