Hemi-Powered Photo Shoot
Over a decade ago I was approached by a good friend who wanted me to take some photos of his dad’s car for “Muscle Car Review” magazine. They were doing an article about how his dad dreamt of buying a Hemi-Roadrunner while fighting in Vietnam and upon returning home from the war making that dream come true. The car was still all original and looking like it just left the showroom floor.
It is a great car.
They told me that I could pick the places to shoot the car and so I began looking at tons of locations. One place in particular that I had my eyes on was an old “Motorway” railroad workshop building in Alamosa, Colorado. A brick building with a lot of floor space and a HUGE skylight right in the middle. It had amazing natural light. It was a great location.
This was the first time my photography was published and I was honored to be a small part of this great story!
I am including some images of the article because they no longer make Muscle Car Review along with many other great hot rod and muscle car magazines. Sadly, the building was also torn down in late 2023… I hope you enjoy.
Thanks for reading.
