Homage To Drag Race History

There’s nothing more American than drag racing and drag racing has a beautiful history with lots of blood, sweat and tears. A few years ago I had the opportunity to do a total homage to the beauty of drag racing. A friend brought his 1941 Willys to get pinstriped, but not just ordinary pin striping. This project would be complete with a pinstriped nostalgic drag mask in front and a vintage front engine dragster pinstriped in the back. Each side of the car features two racing dragsters honoring the Junior Kaiser and Steve Pinellas. Also, the client wanted a bit of “Herman Munster” thrown into the mix.

The result got a small feature in Pinstriping & Kustom Graphics Magazine!

This project has made a huge impact on my art and you can look for more nostalgic drag race art here in the future!
