The typeface was also very important to give a true old-world Mexican feel while keeping it surprisingly simple.

This label was the very first of many for the San Luis Valley Brewing Co. It was the first beer they had won a medal for. It is a Mexican-style Lager with green chilli infused into it. It was totally revolutionary at the time and is still a favorite amongst enthusiasts to this day!

The design was directed to an old photograph of a mexican vaquero posed with a rifle. I substituted the rifle for a chilli and the rest is history. It is a favorite amongst the new a seasoned beer drinkers alike.
